We have in our very midst, an ex-splurt who has spent much of his working career engaged in
research on this very subject.

Why do you think he was awarded the CREST "The Fungal Fun-Guy of 1998" award ?
Hmm ?

And I know that he is list-ening in because he very recently he offered an amusing
insight into what makes a Bureaucrap (sic) tick.

However, rather than merely providing titles of reports or books, I think that we should start a
summer flamefest, right here, right now, (clothing optional) on the subject of moulds and other
threats to one's respiratory system, as can commonly be found in the building components of
even relatively new homes (not just SB ones) and the effects (short and long term) that they can
have upon the occupants of the house.

I GUARANTY that such a discussion thread will put the fear of Good Building Science into
even the most laid-back practitioners of " Gooey Architecture "
( you know, the "Building as Amoeba" school of natural design ?) as one wiseacre
has been heard to utter. And we're not talking about just allergens or irritants either.
The little microbialbuggers can keel you.

So, are y'all scared yet ? Huh ? Are you ?
