Thanks Wil.
This almost sounds as though SomeOne specifically designed it to work this way.
As all gardeners/farmers know, potassium (K) is represented by the third number in fertiliser
categorisations ( ie N-P-K) and that potassium is an essential nutrient which regulates the rate
at which photosynthesis takes place and plays large part in determining yields.
Isn't it "convenient" that Nature will take the harmful-to-combustion-devices-but-useful-to-plants
potassium out of the straw so that it can be used by humans for heating their SB homes ?
Of course, humans have to take the initiative to make the rice-straw burning device first though.
