SpaceStarJohn and Earthlings;

I *know*, that you don't want to *know*, what WatJohn *knows* , about moisture, cement stucco
and the current condition of the universe because your brain would most likely blow a gasket at
the 2% knowledge mark, causing bits of brain to exude from various orifices ... and that would
be dreadfully messy. (Just look at what happened to Beel Steen if you don't believe me.)

Fortunately though, WatJohn has kindly taken the time to prepare a 17 page synopsis on the
subject of moisture, plaster and straw bale for baleheads and interestingly enough, it is entitled:

"Moisture Properties of Plaster and Stucco for Strawbale Buildings"

It is useful because it is, by and large, written in a language which mere mortals such as I can
comprehend, without any of that scientific gibberish that tends to make mortals eyes glaze over
and causes their brains hit the "snooze" button.

It is available from CMHC (see www.cmhc-schl.gc.ca or write to the Canadian Housing
Information Centre (CHIC) at CMHC <chic@cmhc-schl.gc.ca> ) free for the asking, to all
Canadians.
(There may be a fee ($10 ?) for non-Moose SpaceMen, Murricans and Others to cover the costs
of exporting our tree pulp south (what with that Idiot Dubya's unilaterally-imposed tarrifs on
Canadian softwood exports and all. I think that the tarrif is a Good Thing BTW, but he's still an
Idiot).

For Murricans who didn't vote for the Idiot King, and for Euro-peein's, OzBalls, Kiwis,Chileans
and such-like, perhaps an Adobe PDF version can be arranged to be sent via e-mail ( via Don
Fugler ?) at no cost.

As to your other questions regarding earthen plasters & earth pigments etc., I would suggest
having a look at the SB List archives first (where these topics have been discussed a bazillion
or maybe even a gazillion ? times) and then afterwards, posing some specific questions .
There are plenty of knowledgeable MudHeads on this List whose experience is invaluable and
are usually quite weelling to chair. (you know, like de heepees, eh ?)

Note : This message has been blind carbon copied to WatJohn and the Fungal Fun-Guy
(aka "Dr. Straube" and " Mr. Fugler" to Earthlings) who are probably lounging by a lake
sucking back Lablatts Broos and swatting West-Nile-virus-bearing mosquitos)
