Re: SB: wood gutters

Most folks put a pitch in their gutter to incourage water to flow to
the downspot. When hanging wooden gutters, droping them to one end to keep
them dry is really important for longevity.
The oldest and least leakiest wooden gutter I have seen were carved out
of poles with an adze and were all one piece. Where two of these pole
gutteres met the next pole was hanging underneath. No actual contact was
made which eliminated any joints that tend to dry slower (rot).
