For those with experience, the obvious does not need be discussed, however
when a novice enters the picture, EVERYTHING needs to be repeated more than
once. I too have had to step back and re-assess when I give direction
especially in rural areas. What we have done many times over, they may have
only heard about it, but have not had the hands-on experience to "know" the
difference.

Concrete is not a forgiving material--work it too much and it crumbles, not
enough and it can't be finished and now we want you to combine a little
texture (acrylic chips, crushed stone, granite or ?), color (pigment or
paint) and burnishing (hard trowel) and oh, retarders, cure and
sealer----what--where--why ??? The person asking the question may not have
even gotten past the mixing stage. Finished concrete product this afternoon
? -----maybe later.
