Leave it to an Ozzball to suggest "Beer ! " as a possible alternative
to dealing with wasps. (Not that I disagree, just that it's amusing )

Although I am not fond of killing wasps or hornets, there are times when
killing seems to be justifiable (as when little ones or the elderly are at risk).
(This from a man who in the past, when building in mosquito/blackfly country
during the last two weeks of May -first weeks of June, breathed by first
blowing out befroe breathing in, to clear away the blackflies which had
congregated around all breathing orifices and viewed/heard the world
through bite-swollen eyelids and ears. (actually a all exposed flesh
would be bite-swollen) ie One learns to tolerate them rather than try
(a losing propostion) to kill them all).

If the killing is deemed necessary, then it seems that it should be a fair fight...
(wo)Mano a Waspo, one on one.

A single human armed only with water and a stomping foot vs
a circling swarm of airborne insects armed with stingers seems pretty fair.
Yes, one might get stung if one is not on the ball but it's not unreasonable
given that the opponents lose their lives.

Resorting to biological weapons (ammonia, beer, pheramones) is IMO,
escalating it to another step ... and using technological expertise in the
form of small houscleaning appliances so that one doesn't even see
the face of one's opponent or risk getting stung ? What can I say ?
What's next ? Nuking them with a microwave oven ?

(Before any TEXans get a cactus in their shorts, all of the above are
comments made with tongue firmly implanted in cheek (mine that is))
