In the context of New Zealand, which is where this thread started, it rains
alot.
"The climate in NZ does not suit Sante Fe style as it is nearly always
raining.
That is why it is called the Land of the Long White Cloud."
I see "Santa Fe style", which is to say fake Pueblo style (not using adobe),
in Salt Lake, and other rainy/snowy areas where it is not a wise way to
build. In the arid deserts, is more appropriate, especially if done with
adobe, which doesn't rot the way strawbale does.
