SB: Re: Santa Fe style, breathability

Robert--

I appreciate the education concerning "permeance."

I had checked seven dictionaries originally, including several construction
glossaries, before I commented at all. Because of your post, I conducted a
more extensive check and sure enough, I finally found it (although the
predominant use is for a magnetic measurement).

Wouldn't it be nice if more of the dictionaries and glossaries were accurate?

Anyway, I apologize for my well-intentioned but mistaken "correction".

Secondly, I don't understand your comment about using a sealed fireplace
with an outside air intake. From what I have determined thus far, a
fireplace draws heated interior air to support combustion, thus negating
some of its heating benefits. Is this mistaken?
