As "I-did-the-legwork-Lootvik" posted the other day,
the range of densities of the straw/clay mixtures in the data
presented by Gernot Minke ranged from 300 kg/m^3 (~18.73 lbs/ft^3)
to 2100 kg/m^3.
Densities in the 300 -1200 kg/m^3 (19 -75 lbs/ft^3) range are considered to
be "leichtlehm" or "light straw/claw" in Murricanspeak.
The straw/clay doesn't care what procedure is used in its placement
nor does it care what name is applied to it nor does it care
as to the nationality of the scientist studying it.
What matters is the resultant density, in determining its conductivity.
Years ago, Sunny John (Cruikshank, of Colorado ?)) posted some
observational density data for various straw/clay mixtures that he
had played with.
