Re: SB: Meeting Hall for el Lupo and Friends
G ' day All
Just following up on Rob Tom's original email and some of the comments that
followed the discussion. Loved the fertile imaginings of the Moosehugger out in
the snow in the middle of the night or so it seemed.
Timber is abundant here in Golden Ganmain plenty of Cypress Pine in new or
recycled form. Plenty of golden sheaves of wheaten hay for thatching and some
good thatchers. The earth below the top soil is ideal for rendereing in
combination with CHAFF and some sand. Lots of rubber tyres for footings as well
as blue metal. Lots of straw growing within 500 yards of the village and
beyond. Safe rainfall of 22 or so inches annually.
We will be building the Hall of Conciliation during harvest time here in
Ganmain, during the conference, so plenty of straw fresh off the wheat
paddocks. Also stooking will be in full force and the building of hay stacks.
So we do not live in a desert but on fertile ground.

We only have one pub left but we do have a bowling club (lawn bowls that is) and
a sports/golf club so empty tinnies are not a problem and it will be the first
day of summer 2002! However they take time to build with.
I love the idea of planting a ring of trees and they would grow well. The
Wiradjuri Elder whom we are talking with, Flo Grant, would like a memorial
garden to honour the Wiradjuri people who died in the wars when we came to
Wiradjuri country. Flo would like to see Aboriginal herbs and plants grown for
medicine and bush tucker. So we need to design the gardens as well. Hope the
email paints a picture for all of you weather bound with nothing better to do
than help us design and come up with ideas for the use of the buildings, thanks
in advance.
Much to do in 2000 and 2.
Kind regards The Straw Wolf
