SB: Re: MidAmerica SBA

this worthy of any ears in Okra-homely, or Mizzouri?) -"Spuds"

Joyce,
As you well put your finger on the issue, I am no longer in Oklahoma, am
about a hundred miles east of the western boarder. You're correct, we had
conversed about my involvement with MASBA for Oklahoma, about a year ago,
just prior to my father's passing. Post that event, my life's direction has
been turned upside down, not unlike a snow globe you'd up end and shake.

The list owner/moderator for the Okiebaleheads is Teri, skyjuice@swbell.net
in Eufalla. In a recent posting to our list, she cited that she had her
plate full at the moment involving a child advocacy project for Haskel
county. She's a bundle of energy and fire, but could only be able to
deliver a small amount of attention for the next few months.

A recent new member, Wes, ( wesnwen1@home.com ), a native American (Cherokee
I think?) in central Oklahoma, planning on building on tribal lands might be
a good choice for a contact? His location (Weeleaka, I believe?) is just
northeast of O.K.C., where more SB activity seems to be taking place within
the state.

Since relocating to SW Mizzouri, I'd like to get a "Sho-me" state chat group
of balers going, to see who's where, and doing what? Maybe a better name
would be the "MO-Balers, And Mud Slingers Society" (MO-BAMSS). -Far
northeastern Missouri, "the Dancing Rabbit & Sandhill farms" groups, to
date, are the only one's I'm aware of doing SB/green building techniques.
I'm certain there are loads of folks around the Ozark hill country that are
doing so, they're just doing so quietly and for the most part on their own.
If you know of, or anyone reading this within a 100 mile radius of
Springfield, would be interested in getting such a "gab-fest" started and
off the ground, have them get in contact with me? Guess I've asked for it
now, haven't I?? Enuf4now, always more later...

Regards,
Mark Kifer
a.k.a. "Spuds"
