SB: Termites anybody?

Hello-
Am just starting to build a strawbale house in Vail Az. 
(the OTHER Vail) and am trying to research termite 
prevention. Have read about metal shields, sand barriers, 
but have yet to find much info regarding diatomaceous 
earth. I have read in the Stawbale bible that one should 
not use swimming pool grade. My question then is where 
does one find the correct grade to use? Have performed 
searches on the web but have come up with nada. Does 
anyone have any info they would like to share regarding 
this subject?
