Liz & Jerry-

Thanks for your inquiry. Yes, SB can be built on a basement, but I have
no personal experience with doing that.

I am going to forward your post to the SB list serve and ask some of the
list memebrs in the frozen North to respond to you. There is a SB book,
written by some fellows in Canada, that has good detail on building in
cold climates. I wish I could tell you the title right off hand, but I
can't. Charmaine, or someone else out there with good detail on books,
please send that info along to these folks.

Also, will anyone out there in Iowa (Nebraska, S Dak, etc) let these good
folks know about SB in those parts.
