SB: Re: building straw bale in NJ

Rhonda;

I think that you would do well to get in touch with Suzanne McAnoy
Zukowski in Morristown PA (just a hoot and a holler from Trenton NJ).

Suzanne is a great friend to the international straw bale community
who effectively single-handedly produced (in the chief cook and
bottle-washer sense) the year 2000 version of the Casas que Cantan
(Houses that Sing) Booklet/Music CD which was used a vehicle
to solicit donations from straw bale enthusiasts worldwide, to create
a loan fund to finance the building of new homes for families in
Xochitl, Mexico.

The package received nothing but rave reviews for the care and
attention to detail that Suzanne devoted to it, all on a volunteer basis.

She also played a major role in producing this year's
CqC CD effort. (see Athena and Bill Steen's website at

               http://www.caneloproject.com

and click on "Mexico Work" to see some of the results of these
initiatives or better yet, make a donation in order to receive a copy
of the Casas que Cantan 2001 Music CD and Booklet. The booklet
tells the ongoing story of the Casas que Cantan project in text and
sexy photos. ) You may request the package by making a
$20 (or was it $22 ?) donation by email using PayPal (www.Paypal.com) ,
with absteen@dakotacom.net as the recipient.

Although Suzanne is a competent builder and a Master's Architecture
candidate whose focus is on issues of Green and sustainable
architecture, you may be assured that I (and most likely Athena and
Bill Steen) would be willing to provide any assistance to Suzanne that
she may require on any technical issues, as a small token of our
gratitude for her selfless efforts in assisting in the Casas que Cantan
initiatives.
