Jeff;

The answer to your question is "You don't."

The earthen plaster itself could be a drainage plane in a 
rainscreen cladding assembly.

ie There would be another cladding layer on top of the earthen plaster with 
 a drained, ventilation airspace bewteen the two. 

The earthen plaster would serve to encapsulate the straw to help it retain 
its R-value, to keep out rodents and widgety-bugs, to fireproof the straw,
...and serve as the drainage plane.
