Hi Beth,

I think I understand what you are saying.

My natural tendency is to over-anal-ise things and plan
carefully.  I want to learn as much as possible from
other people and then do the best job possible.
The problem with this is that is takes a long time
to get anything done.

My wife on the other hand goes with her gut feeling
and does things using quick decisions.

Fortunately we are a great balance because if I followed
my wife's lead we would have been living on a swamp
(she wanted to buy the first piece of land we saw).
And if she followed my lead we would be still renting
and drawing diagrams and doing calculations!

The great thing about this email list is the diversity
of people: owner/builders, professionals, "big names",
engineeroids, holistic thinkers, environmentalists,
gizmo-lovers, professors, CREEPs, etc.
