Re: SB: Tools for SB building...
The plaster applying-tool referred to below is an exact copy of the type we have been using in Denmark the last 4 years.
* Info
In Europe we get them from Italy, where they are used for applying plaster.
The Italian Work Authorities are not satisfied with this tool though, as it is indeed very hard on the wrist.
We buy it for app. $300 apiece.
We also get it in an edition on which the holes are pointing app. 45 degrees upwards, which makes it appropriate for plastering ceilings.
* Ups
It is very simple to use and maintain.
It is a small investment for a tool which combined with a compressor can blow a lot of plaster.
It is a good tool. Effective.
* Downs
It is hard on your wrist. A few houses is OK, but if you are a contractor and do this day in and day out ?
Is very good with clayplasters. If you use lime-plasters then beware, as it can send a lot of dust into the air.
Best Regards
