Scott - In 1997 I was able to get a loan from Bank
One arranged through a local mortgage broker for a post and beam straw bale
infill 1.5 story 2000 sq ft house. It was a one time close construction
loan that was converted to a mortgage once construction was finished. Bank
One later sold off the loan to Homeside Lending in Florida. Initially my
home insurance was with Foundation Reserve in New Mexico. I have just
changed to Farm Bureau, more insurance for less money. Good luck.
