Karen,
I don't know about quick lime.  What we use is powdered hydrated lime, type S.  If
your lime is this kind then my suggestion would be to not put quite that much water
in first, because you will want to add some water after you add the lime as well.
But your ratios will work.  I think we've actually got as many as 4 5-lb. bags in a
55 gal. drum before.  Definitely you will want to stir the mix, and stir the mix
every few days for the first week and every couple weeks if you're letting it sit
for a month or more.  We recommend you let your lime soak as long as possible,
preferably a month or more.
