Yes, it's a nice comment. We don't think, however, that the merits of
trying new things with bales should be confined to the builders and
tinkerers, and often people approach us wanting to use their building as an
example for others. If we're doing something experimental, we let our
clients know and give them the choice of whether to join in the experiment
or not. Most of our "research" has been done at our own expense, but
sometimes a client wants to kick in some money for that, too. The
construction process--and strawbale is no exception--is a cooperative one,
and I think it's a good idea to encourage everyone's fullest participation.
