What about renting some dehumidifiers with tubes leading to the outside
through the plastic at future windows.  You would need to make the
excess flows away from the house.

Not sure what your energy source is right now other than the propane.
I would not bring that into the house unless already piped in and could
be controlled.

I have these fans going into my house right now due to an overflowing
toilet through the floor and into the walls in the basement.

If it persists you may want to a industrial hygienist who can have it
tested at a lab.  Just make sure they are not "chemically" inclined.
