It's not recommended practice for an email list to have itself as the 
default reply-to address.  This is because of all of the auto-responders 
out there that automatically generate bounced-message 
or vacation notices.  If the reply-to address of the list is the list 
itself, these automatically generated emails may end up on the list, cluttering up our 
inboxes.  Worse yet, an infinite loop may be created where a message goes 
out to the list, an auto-responder responds to it, that auto-response goes 
out to the list, and the auto-responder responds again, and on and on.  
Back when I worked at CREST I saw instances where this kind of loop took 
down the whole server.  It is inconvenient to not have the reply-to address 
set to strawbale@crest.org, but I think it's a better policy in the long 
run.
