Ah, but then you have to think about the floodables too! Says he who
has a room full of electronics gear. Many of nature's "cleansing
actions" involve large quantities of liquid. My lot is fairly flat;
if we sunk a hole in the ground, there's a fair possiblility that the
water would come in faster in a catastrophic event than it could be
removed. I might consider it if I was able to run a drain line from
the lowest point in the safe room (down hill, of course) to a point
on the surface that's still well above the 500 or 1000 year flood
level. (we've had several "100 year" floods in these parts in the
past 10 years).
(Let's see, "fire, flood, pestilence..." Ok, so what *do* we do about
Rob Tom? ;-)
