I have used Thorolastic, which is an elastomeric coating that comes in
either knife (thick) or brush (thin) grade. I have used the brush grade
with great success in repairing hairline shrinkage cracks and minor thermal
stress cracks in stucco coats on masonry heaters.

I'd advise against using anything very hard and inflexible, such as
unmodified cement, for repairing cracks.
