The letters don't read the same big or small. All lowercase or
all uppercase are both harder to read. This is not just my
subjective experience; it is a statement borne out by the research.
If you were writing your own journal, for your own sole
consumption, I might agree with you. If you were writing for an
audience which did not care, I might agree with you. However, what
you are actually doing is asking people to take the time to sit down,
read your posts, think about them, and care enough to take the time
and effort to reply. You are essentially begging for free advice.
All of us who post questions here do that every time we post a
question.
Most of us have other priorities in our lives (for instance, in
my case: two children, my marriage, my spiritual life, my work for
pay, and actual work accomplished on my own house, just to list the
top tier). We answer questions because we want to, because we feel
like it, or because we want to give something back for what we have
received. Why ask us to go to even more trouble to decipher your
posts? It's not that they're illegible; they're just *harder* to
read. The letters don't read the same. Capital letters and other
proper punctuation mean that the text scans more easily.
So you go to the trouble to post. Why cripple your efforts by
requiring people to go even farther out of their ways to help you,
and thus cutting the number of replies you receive?

In this case, your opinion isn't the one which has an impact. If
you go to a foreign country and refuse to use the language, your
experience will be a good deal poorer than it could have been.
Best wishes,
