RE: SB: instant hot water heaters?

I use a "instant" hot water heater for my house. It's not a realy complex system.,

but basically, I have the hot water heater quite close to the shower,
then split it there into two, one for the shower, and other,
then split the other into two again, one for the bath room sink and one for the

kitchen sink, then I spit the one for the bath room sink to the sink and to the
washer. It works well for me as My usage ranges quite a bit.
I may use more solar meathods in the summer as well as more cold water in the heat.

but on cloudy days and winter days, it comes in handy.

Longest distance it runs from the hotwater heater is about 40 feet. The pipe is

insulated however. (pipe is half inch copper). I paid about $400 for mine. forgot

the brand, I'd have to go home and look, but the company was out of Florida.
I liked them cause the price was the same on all models, it's just the bigger
ones use more energy and thus your choice was based on need rather than price
of the heater.

Mine is electric however and not gas. Gas is more effiecent but well for several

reasons, electric is easier. I plan on putting into a solor system and using
it as back up only (cloudy days, cold days etc.)
