SB: sb: straw bale roof

hi balers...

i am thinking of putting straw bales right over the tin roof on my 30 x
60 pole building that i want to make my straw home... i built the
trusses to take a load, so, since it never snows here in etex, it should
handle straw, plus whatever..... i'm thinking of putting new tin over
the straw, because i want the solar collection too, for possibly driving
an amonia absorbtion cooling system, as well as greenhouse bed heat and
house floor heat for the house, concrete pavers over sand/earth/used
concrete...

in the "straw bale house" i see "living roofs"... over flat roof
construction... i want to put bales over my pitched roof.. 1 to 3 pitch
trussed tin over.. the build a frame attached through the staw to the
trusses and tin over the whole thing... would not that accomplish a near
r 50 roof?.. and i could still have the open trusses inside that i
want...

any thoughts, expirience, conclussions, suggestions...... ? hmmm
