Re: SB: Tempered Glass recyclable- sorta OT

Melvin- on that tempered glass, I just had a huge sunroom sheet stress
blow out into lovely " diamonds", and whilst cleaning them up remembered
that "cullett" glass is used in gardening now, sort of as decorative
bark...could this be done with this safety glass, as it is not sharp?

any cons on using it?

and the glass man who gave me a bid to replace it said the same thing
as you did-- one molecule in the glass structure shifts after that
freezing process, and "blooie" it turns to diamonds.
which is one reason the glass man does NOT give a warranty on the
safety glass...but does on the double pane stuff...

(here in Arcata CA we have a world famous company that takes old glass
and recycles it into beautiful dishware, bowls, plates etc...hummm maybe
they can make me a wine glass ot beer stein ot sumthin?)
