SB: Significant Dates in the History of SB ?

Apparently, in the moments of breathing space between teaching &
hosting workshops/writing/and beating plaster samples with a sledge
etc., Beel has been scratching his noggin and the following idea WRT
this year's Casas que Cantan fundraising initiative popped out of his
head. (Or it may have been a flea jumping out and uttering something
which sounded like a good idea to Beel ? )

In addition to the music CD, instead of a story booklet as in years
past, this year, a CALENDAR to accompany the musical portion.

I'm told that Athena is hot to trot with this idea which of course,
means that (in Beel's own words) "she'll work on that with
enthusiasm and be [hard ?] pressed to do anything else."

As some of you may recall, I think that it was Marcus who called
Beel "the Hugh Heffner of SB" so we can pretty much be assured that
the photography for the calendar will be done in Beel's typically sexy
photographic style.

Incidental to the sexy SB images, it being a calendar, the thing should
have something which records the passage of time, both in the past
and in the future, and as such, it has been suggested that it should
probably show things like phases of the moon, solstices and other
significant celestial events.

It should probably also show Earthly/mortally-significant dates in the
history of and/or for the world of SB. This is where we could use
your help. Please let us know what events/dates you'd like to see
noted on the calendar . We've got 365 of them to fill up with notes.
(When I say "we", I of course mean Athena & Beel & probably
Satomi. I don't *actually* do anything.)

I should also probably mention that Jodi Lopez from Mexico has
already kindly sent two CDs, (a compilation of her husband's
compostions over the past ten years) to Saintly Suzanne (who did
*all* of the work for the first years' project double-handedly) as
sources from which to make a selection(s) to put onto this year's
Casas que Cantan Music CD, so if you've been contemplating
sending in a tune or three, I would urge you to do it soon, as there
aren't that many working days left between now and Christmas
mailing time.

For those who are new to the List, you might want to go to the
Steens' Canelo Project website http://www.caneloproject.com ,
click on "Mexico Work" and "Casas que Cantan"
... or go to the SB list archives
http://www.crest.org/discussion/strawbale/200205/
and look in the previous three years' archives, for anything with
"Casas que Cantan" in the subject, around the months of November-
February, for the full story as it was developing/happening back then
...or if you just want to look at some pikchurs (pirated from the
Steens' collection)

So, significant DATES and kewl, original MUSIC.
That's what we need. Soon, if not sooner.
Hokay ? Hokay.
Thengya. Thengyallverramuch.
