David,

I had a look at the site you suggested. One of the things that I noticed
was that in the section about dismanteling the round section you could see
the pattern of the wire within the stucco. I have talked to many stuccoer's
and they all say the biggest problem is that most stucco is put on too
thin. If stucco is to thin then it will allow water to wick through it
quickly, if it is thick enough then the water will mostly be held within
the actual layer of stucco. This will allow it to dry out very quickly.
