I can see doing so, and have done so myself, if there is a strong 
teaching aspect to the workshop, and not just an attempt to get the 
(otherwise free but for the cost of food) labor to pay you to do your 
grunt work.

No, Ron was with some University based group out of Miami for a short 
time - less than a year, as I recall - but he's kept Planeta.com 
going since we first put it online for him in '94.  He quickly tired 
of the big-talk-and-no-action game they were involved in.  I don't 
track the acronyms closely enough to know if that was LATCO or some 
other.
