Re: SB: Need toilet source...<g>
Hey Chris
You should come to Australia - land of the variable flush.
The most common type is the two button half flush/full flush loo, half
flush for 'number ones', full flush for 'number twos'. The ones we have at
work flush while you keep your finger on the button, so you just watch
until it is all gone and as soon as you take your finger off the button the
flushing stops.
Now, I've never been to the US but I understand that you have 'heart
stopper' loos. You press the button, the bowl fills with water almost to
the rim then whoosh it all drains away. I had a similar toilet in Vietnam
where I lived for 6 months (a few years ago now), I thought it was going to
overflow all over the floor. The most common toilet in Vietnam is actually
hole in the floor with a place for your feet on either side... takes a bit
of getting used to, even for a girl who grew up with a 'long drop dunny'.
Ok, I think I have almost exausted my knowledge of loos, except to say that
it is important to get ones that actually dispose of the waste in one
flush. There is nothing more embarrasing than going to someones house and
spending 20 minutes in the loo... flushing, still there, wait for the
cistern to fill, flush, still there, wait for the cistern to fill,
flush..... meanwhile people are waiting, waiting, waiting ...
Cheers
Claire
. The top has a wide flat lever built into the
tank top. You can either push the lever all the way and leave it down to
fully empty the tank OR you can push it and allow just enough water flow
to do the job and then push it off
