Re: SB: Solar tubes/grey water resources

Hi you two,
snip
does anyone have any comments on the use of solar tubes? Energy loss
>(heat) vs. energy saved (lighting)?
We installed them in a potentially dark hallway and in two rooms which do
not have windows, a music practice room and a closet. We are impressed by
the amount of light...no electric lights needed in the daytime. I would say
"0" energy loss or gain. They are small and completely sealed.

Any brands or types to recommend or
>avoid?
We used the brand Solatube available from Brighter concepts, Inc. in
Oceanside. phone (760) 602-3223,
www.wattkiller.com. Excellent service.

We just talked to our plumber and told him what we wanted to do. He
installed a buried stub
that we can tap into when the time comes.
