On off grid systems use the March 809 or 809HS pump. They are a permanent
magnet pump that I have used with off grid systems. Also keeping your water
temp high will increase heat flow and decrease pump run time. I would stay
away from programable thermostats since the thermo mass of the house will
delay the programing cycles. If you felt that you might need it you could
always add it later.
