SB: farrmers insurance

We live in EastTexas. Farmers is extending the right to renew or
get a new homeowners insurance policy thru Dec 13 or so, and at
a 6.7% discount for all of Texas. From what I gather, there was a
lot of politics pushing the insurance pullout standoff here, and it is
now on it's way to being resolved, now that the elections are
overwith. Nobody wanted to be seen as weak, but now they are
willing to negotiate.

Our insurance is actually thru our Farmers agent with a cheaper
company, as we and the people before us didn't file claims ( If it
breaks, fix it...if it leaks, clean it up and fix it....if it burns down or
blows up in a tornado, well, there you got a basis for a claim..:)

As a qualifier we still live in an all too conventional home, but are
lurking and experimenting, gettting ready to build Cob/SB
structure. Dreaming of a SB/Cob house someday too. I suspect
that with all the mold issues here, SB/Cob house insurance might
be a little tricky to track down....anybody here get some? Thru
whom? And how?
